The exposed fasteners allow non-progressive installation and provide for individual panel removability without disturbing adajcent panels and without impacting system integrity. The extrusions are horizontally oriented. This is extremely beneficial with steel stud wall construction because it eliminates the need to precisely locate studs or provide structural strapping members at the vertical joints. The system is highly desirable for applications utilizing running bond patterns and/or vertical panel orientations. A version of the Universe® 7000 has received a NFPA 285 multi-story fire test equivalency rating and, therefore, can be used on high rise construction applications. This version is called Universe® 7000-285 and the application design must adhere to the established design guidelines for cavity depth and adjacent materials. |
